George "Sky" Matejovsky
Master Sky is the Owner and Chief Instructor at Sky Centers and has been actively
teaching martial arts for decades, reaching his 30th anniversary in martial arts
in 2010. He currently holds a 6th Degree Masters Black Belt in American
and Mixed Martial Arts. He has cross trained in various arts including Kempo, Muay
Thai, Pankration, Tae Kwon Do, and Shorei-Ryu. Master Sky has been inducted into
the American Karate Association Hall of Fame, and inducted in the International
Olympic Pankration Hall of Fame. He holds national standings in Fighting, Weapons,
and Empty Hand Forms. In 2005 Master Sky was voted team captain for the TEAM USA
International Fight Team, where he won two Gold, and two Silver medals.
Master Sky is a powerful motivational speaker, and has taken his passionate presentations
to schools, church groups and corporations, where he inspires people of all ages
(and even all challenges) to focus, do their best and be champions. He has received
high praise and nearly unanimous positive feedback from every single one of the
numerous talks that he has given over the years. Typical reviews are like the recent

Krista Sky
Sensei Krista currently holds a First Degree Sho Dan Black Belt. She has the position
of Program Director at Sky Centers Martial Arts. Her responsibilities include: teaching
introductory lessons, enrollments, renewals and student services. She plays a key
role in marketing, student events and program planning. Sensei Krista is a CIT Certified
Martial Arts Instructor, and is an active part in management and development of
the center. Attending quarterly business development seminars and training gives
her an opportunity to implement the most professional state of the art practices
in the martial arts industry today.
Sensei Krista has achieved First Place in Women’s Open Form in the Chicago Area
Gen-Ki competition in 2006. She supplements her martial arts training and instruction
by assisting in our Total Fit classes. Her true caring nature earns her the respect
of the students at Sky Centers, and as both a mother and a champion martial artist,
gives them a positive female role model.

Robert Mudra
Sensei Bob has been a student of martial arts since the 1980’s. He is currently
a 2nd Degree Ni Dan Black Belt in Mixed Martial Arts. He has expertise
in sword techniques and Pankration, as well as knife and street defense. Sensei
Bob also gained experience in Shin Sun Do at The Peace School in Chicago, where
he developed great skill in peace breathing, meditation and acupressure. He has
a First and Second Level certification in Rei Ki, which is a popular healing art.
He is experienced in teaching meditation and stress reduction.
Sensei Bob holds a seat on all Junior and Adult Black Belt testing boards at Sky
Centers Martial Arts. He is also responsible for assisting in formatting testing
procedures and protocols at the center. He is a CIT Certified Martial Arts Instructor,
and is currently preparing for his 3rd Degree Black Belt. His vast array
of knowledge in all martial arts philosophies adds great benefit for all students
at Sky Centers. His kind and caring demeanor for all students makes Sensei Bob a
sought-after instructor for private lessons and advice.
Shari Schweikle
Shari has been with Sky Centers Martial Arts for several years, first as a student
herself, and then as a valuable member of the Sky Centers team. Shari is currently
a certified assistant, leader, and level 1 & 2 instructor. Though often seen
helping students at the front desk, Shari wears many hats at the dojo, and can do
just about anything, including assisting superbly on the floor. She has extensive
knowledge in basic and beginner curriculum which makes her the ideal instructor
for the White belt Coaching Program. Shari also teaches the 3-6 yr. old Little Dragons
Program and has introduced and implemented the Pre-Skill Curriculum with huge success.
Shari’s passion for the martial arts is infectious, and her desire to improve inspires
students and staff alike to push themselves to be better. Her uncanny problem-solving
ability and creative suggestions have helped make Sky Centers Martial Arts a better
dojo and a more streamlined environment for those who attend.
As a mother of two girls who also train at Sky Centers, Shari understands the needs
of families at the dojo, and eagerly works to accommodate their interests.
Ty Cinnamon
Sensei Ty Cinnamon began taking martial arts lessons at the age of 11 in Dekalb,
Illinois and received his black belt in Kajukenbo in November 2006. From there,
he started competing in local tournaments. From some of these competitions, he began
to take notice in Extreme Martial Arts also known as XMA. At the age of 14, Sensei
Ty started taking extreme classes while continuing with traditional classes. Ever
since he has been competing nationally on the NASKA circuit. Ty Cinnamon was invited
by Matt Mullins in January 2009 to perform with world famous Sideswipe performance
team, and has been performing with the team all over the United States ever since.
In November 2010, Sensei Ty moved to Las Vegas for 6 months to perform with Sideswipe
at the Tropicana. Master Sky saw a unique leadership and instructor quality in Sensei
Ty. Master Sky has since taken Sensei Ty under his wing to become a head instructor
at Sky Centers Martial Arts. Sensei Ty has been involved in extensive and personalized
instructor training as well as curriculum development and implementation. He currently
holds the position of head coach for Sky Centers Team Elite. Sensei Ty brings excitement
knowledge and state of the art skills to Sky Centers family. From spending extra
hours at the Dojo to struggling to land new tricks, Sensei Ty continually works
to improve his leadership abilities as an instructor as well as his martial arts
skill and performance.
