
Master Sky is the Owner and Chief Instructor at Sky Centers and has been actively teaching martial arts for decades, reaching his 30th anniversary in martial arts in 2010. He currently holds a 5th Degree Masters Black Belt in American and Mixed Martial Arts. He has cross trained in various arts including Kempo, Muay Thai, Pankration, Tae Kwon Do, and Shorei-Ryu. Master Sky has been inducted into the American Karate Association Hall of Fame, and inducted in the International Olympic Pankration Hall of Fame. He holds national standings in Fighting, Weapons, and Empty Hand Forms. In 2005 Master Sky was voted team captain for the TEAM USA International Fight Team, where he won two Gold, and two Silver medals.
Master Sky is a powerful motivational speaker, and has taken his passionate presentations to schools, church groups and corporations, where he inspires people of all ages (and even all challenges) to focus, do their best and be champions. He has received high praise and nearly unanimous positive feedback from every single one of the numerous talks that he has given over the years. Typical reviews are like the recent quote from a school principal in Hanover Park, IL: "Awe inspiring and motivational... even for me!"

Sensei Dennis is a veteran martial artist, earning his Junior Level Black Belt at age 14. At age 16 he successfully tested for his Adult Sho Dan Black Belt. He currently holds a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Mixed Martial Arts.
Sensei Dennis is the Senior Instructor at Sky Centers Martial Arts. His responsibilities include instructing and/or assisting Junior, Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced classes. He has a seat on the Junior and Adult Black Belt testing board, and has a position on the Curriculum Structure and Planning board, which is responsible for reviewing and refining the system-wide teaching structure. He is an NPTI and NASM Certified Personal Trainer, is a CIT Certified Martial Arts Instructor, and has formal gymnastics training. Sensei Dennis also has an advisory position in the Leadership Training Program for training and certifying class leaders and instructors. He is on the advisory board for the Sky Centers Elite Demonstration Team and in 2006 was made head coach. Sensei Dennis is a member of the TEAM USA International Black Belt Fight Team.
His personality and caring for students attracts children and adults alike to learn easily from Sensei Dennis and respect him. His dedication makes him a great role model for kids. Adults look up to his abilities, knowledge and maturity as an instructor. His passion for his teaching and his art allow him to excel in the martial arts as an instructor and a practitioner. He is a dedicated husband and father of a little girl.

Louis Tobar has been a martial arts instructor since the 1990’s, both privately and in classroom structures. He has studied Thai boxing, Boxing, Jeet Kune Do, Jiu-Jitsu, and holds a Black Belt in Kyokushinkai Karate. Louis is an excellent instructor with an open mind, who takes the time to teach things right the first time. His ability to teach you to center your focus on the task at hand allows you to grow more quickly and develop a strong, positive lifestyle.
Instructor Louis, as well as Sky Centers, does not accept students with egos or attitudes. He teaches a professionally developed program for serious students. Concentrated training time for students is critical. His class is very focused and goal orientated.
Instructor Louis is also a husband and father of two.

Sensei Krista currently holds a First Degree Sho Dan Black Belt. She has the position of Program Director at Sky Centers Martial Arts. Her responsibilities include: teaching introductory lessons, enrollments, renewals and student services. She plays a key role in marketing, student events and program planning. Sensei Krista is a CIT Certified Martial Arts Instructor, and is an active part in management and development of the center. Attending quarterly business development seminars and training gives her an opportunity to implement the most professional state of the art practices in the martial arts industry today.
Sensei Krista has achieved First Place in Women’s Open Form in the Chicago Area Gen-Ki competition in 2006. She supplements her martial arts training and instruction by assisting in our Total Fit classes. Her true caring nature earns her the respect of the students at Sky Centers, and as both a mother and a champion martial artist, gives them a positive female role model.

Sensei Bob has been a student of martial arts since the 1980’s. He is currently a 2nd Degree Ni Dan Black Belt in Mixed Martial Arts. He has expertise in sword techniques and Pankration, as well as knife and street defense. Sensei Bob also gained experience in Shin Sun Do at The Peace School in Chicago, where he developed great skill in peace breathing, meditation and acupressure. He has a First and Second Level certification in Rei Ki, which is a popular healing art. He is experienced in teaching meditation and stress reduction.
Sensei Bob holds a seat on all Junior and Adult Black Belt testing boards at Sky Centers Martial Arts. He is also responsible for assisting in formatting testing procedures and protocols at the center. He is a CIT Certified Martial Arts Instructor, and is currently preparing for his 3rd Degree Black Belt. His vast array of knowledge in all martial arts philosophies adds great benefit for all students at Sky Centers. His kind and caring demeanor for all students makes Sensei Bob a sought-after instructor for private lessons and advice.

Sensei Tino currently holds a First Degree Sho Dan Black Belt, and has been with Sky Centers Martial Arts since 2006. He has been involved continuously with martial arts from the age of 17. Along the way, he has won numerous martial arts championships, including a Gold Medal and two Silver Medals at the Arnold Sports Festival International Karate Competition in Columbus, Ohio in 2009.
With his dynamic and fun personality, Sensei Tino has an amazing rapport with children, and heads up our Lil’ Dragon classes, as well as the popular Martial Arts Summer Camp program. He also works heavily with Junior Achievement, and is the instructor for Communication Clubhouse, a center devoted to enhancing the lives of physically and emotionally challenged children.
Sensei Tino is a CIT Certified Martial Arts Instructor, with several hundred hours experience teaching on the floor. In 2007, he was the recipient of the prestigious Livingston Award for outstanding community service.

Sensei Raj is a First Degree Sho Dan Black Belt in martial arts, and has been with Sky Centers Martial Arts and Fitness since 2005. Over this time, he has become an integral part of staff and operations, and has lent his strong management and people skills to the positive growth of the dojo. He is a CIT Certified Martial Arts Instructor, and with his inspirational and motivating teaching style, has logged several hundred hours of floor instruction time. Sensei Raj has studied directly under Master George Sky and Sensei Dennis Mahoney. He has also studied extensively under MMA expert Louis Tobar. Outside of Sky Centers, Sensei Raj has learned from Bill “Superfoot” Wallace, and XMA pioneer Mike Chat. He was an assistant coach for the Sky Centers Elite team during the Arnold Sports Festival International Karate Competition in 2009, where the team won 29 Gold Medals. He has also competed in the Gen-Ki Karate Tournament in the Chicago area.
Sensei Raj, through his vast and diverse experiences as a Fermilab physicist, corporate executive, real estate investor and even Chicago radio DJ, infuses the atmosphere at Sky Centers Martial Arts with a vibrant energy, and encourages the students to reach for success. He presently lives in the western Chicago suburbs with his wife and two children.
